Existentialism focuses on the contemporary philosophy with the ascendancy of the person. “Existence precedes essence,” as humans diverge faith in a supreme power. As a result belief is consequently often associated to Atheism, where there is an absence of God and deities. This greatly contrasts the primary role religion has played in the past. today's society there is a dominate trend, particularly in the young generation where there has been a gradual and continious movement away from faith and prayer. No longer do we dedicated our Sunday mornings to church or claspes our hands in prayer before a meal. We do not thank God for his supposed blessings. We control, we create our future. We determine who we are and who we want to be. Only we can decide our own our own essence. Existentialism concentrates on one's personal choice and free will, making the human subject the starting and focal point in this philosophical school of thought. hence here society is seen as unnatural tthe traditional, secular and religious rules are arbitrary.
